I’ve just been recording the voiceover for a hard hitting short film to be used at the opening of a Free Press Unlimited event in the Hague, the Netherlands.

Once again I’m working with film maker Nynke La Porte and her team at Izzyworks in Amsterdam and the video is to be used at the opening of the “Stand Up for Journalists and Justice” event on the 2nd of November, 2016.

The voiceover is providing support to video footage depicting the threats faced by journalists reporting on a range of situations all over the world.  In some instances journalists have been threatened while reporting on local politics while in other parts of the world they are detained, tortured or killed just for trying to tell the story of unfolding events.

November 2nd is International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists and the Free Press event is dedicated to bringing about change in the way journalists are treated.
