I’ve just delivered the audio for an elearning voiceover for Disney.  It’s part of a programme of training for their UK based staff in the standards of conduct they need to use when dealing with customers and other businesses.

The only disappointment for me was that I got the job finished before my new microphone arrived.

I’ve just made the leap into “mic-as- investment-territory” and bought a Neumann U87.  It’s only just arrived, it looks fabulous and I’m about to give it a road test!

Before making the plunge and buying a Neumann I spent quite a lot of time looking into all kinds of mics for voicework. I was trying to answer the perennial question: “What kind of microphone do I need for voiceover work?”  I’ll be writing about the what I discovered in a future post.
