I’ve been busy recording the voice over for a project training staff who work in Specsavers stores.  In fact I’ve recently provided voiceovers for quite a lot of elearning projects for staff in a range of industries and companies. You certainly get quite an insight into the way companies work – or at least the way they and their employees are supposed to work.  Some of the projects have surprised me – for example  the recent one for B&Q – before I recorded the elearning voiceover I had no idea that they had such a detailed policy on sourcing sustainable wood for their products.

In terms of Specsavers I discovered that there really is quite a lot that’s supposed to happen between you as customer and staff member  from the moment you get your prescription to when you get your spectacles…. I say “supposed to happen” – not because I doubt it happens,  but because as someone who hasn’t needed glasses yet it was all news to me!

Anyway this being an elearning module and not an advert I didn’t get to say “Should have gone to Specsavers”.   Not surprising really as the voiceover is  intended for Specsavers staff.  So the intended audience for the VO are already there!
