More voiceover variety

dvoicebox wave formThe post headline makes it sound like I’m using a pun to suggest that I’ve been doing voiceovers for ads for Heart radio stations. In fact I haven’t voiced any radio ads recently it’s all been corporate and narration voiceovers.

Given the recent news stories about changes to the exam system in England one voiceover project I’ve been working on is kind of topical.  Michael Gove may have announced the launch of the EBacc or English Baccalaurate but I’ve been working on a much longer established qualification with a similar name: the IB or International Baccalaureate.  In fact my voiceovers were the first in a series for a learning project to make the IB accessible on-line.

In addition to educational voiceovers I’ve also been promoting one of the largest suppliers of caravans and motorhomes – I’ve just recorded the voiceover narration for an on-line video explaining the sales and services available from Lowdhams.

And then just for further contrast I’ve just finished recording the voiceover for an information project explaining how the Sartocheck 4 plus bag tester works in conjunction with the FlexAct IT trolley.  Apparently its a system that automatically tests filter integrity. It was quite hard to produce a voiceover that sounded like I knew what I was talking about when in fact I was not really sure what “bag testing of Flex boy bags” and “filter integrity” meant.

It’ll be interesting to see if there are any amends to do for the client for that one!

So you see – a variety of voiceovers!  What’s more it continues tomorrow too when I’ve got to record a voiceover for an induction programme for new staff working at a large food processing plant.
