Voiceover going to the dogs

I’ve got Google alerts set up for a number of words to do with voiceovers and I was intrigued this week by a link that popped up to do with a voiceover artist at Crufts, the dog show.

I’ve linked to the video because I liked the content- which features voice actor Marc Silk at the famous dog show looking at some animation cells from classic cartoons including Scooby Doo. Marc is the go-to-guy for loads of cartoon voices including, apparently the voice for the American version of Bob the Builder. He’s always been totally passionate about cartoon animation (as you can tell from the video).

I’ve also posted this about Marc because I remember him from when he was a radio presenter at Mercia way back: he started there a few years after I did. Not everyone thought he was sensible to ditch radio presentation to go into voiceovers but now, years later, it’s clear he made right choice!
