Voiceover news

I’ve been recording a wide variety of voiceovers recently – some video narrations, some elearning programmes, even a character voice in a film.

I’ve just finished recording a voiceover narration for a short information video explaining how TaxGenix works. It’s a new service being provided by Euroclear.

I’ve also been recently asked to help with some audio restoration and audio remastering for a film documentary using a number of old archive film reports. In addition I was chosen to provide the voiceover narration for the project too. The film will be released on a DVD to accompany a new book about the early stages of the career of The Beatles.
Specifically the focus of the book and film is on “Beatlemania” –  the few years in the early to mid 1960s when the Fab Four where actually playing live gigs (and finding the volume  of their equipment woefully inadequate in the face of screaming audiences).  I’ll talk about the audio aspects on my studio blog but so far I’ve recorded the initial voiceover and expect to do some drops and amends in the next week of so.

In addition to narrating the story of the 4 lovable mop tops I’ve also been playing the part of a Priest in a new film being made by Ian Woodward.  I’d provided some character voices a few years ago for a film he was making called “From Bohemias Woods and Fields” – about the composer Smetana.
You can see that film here – and one of my voices can be heard from around 24:30.
This time his focus was Tchiakovsky and I play the voice of a priest’s letter announcing the composer’s death. You can see some of his other previous films here.

The TaxGenix project is being produced by Epic Frame in Belgium

Beatlemania is being produced for Atlantic Publishing

And the character voice was for Encore Films
