Latest from the voiceover studio

It’s been busy in my voiceover studio this week with a variety of voiceover projects being recorded and edited.
I recently became the voice for the IVR service for Legal and General – so when you ring up with a query or a claim it’s my voice that guides you through the menus and tells you which button to press. This week I’ve been recording another batch of messages for their system – with more to come in the next few weeks.
Earlier in the year I recorded the voice over narration for 6 video projects for industrial security and H+S company Z Safety Services.
This week the guys at Epic Frame got in touch with some re-records for me – actually there was only one that needed doing and it wasn’t really a re-record as it was new copy for the project.
I’ve also just recorded some pick-ups for a Zenosis elearning module that I originally recorded a few weeks ago.
It’s part of a programme of 23 modules on the international marketing of pharmaceutical brands of which I’ve recorded and completed 15 modules.

I’ve been asked to record a new e-learning project for Smile-on – part of an on-going series of professional development modules for dentistry practitioners. I’ve just finished recording and editing the files.
This time the subject matter was diabetes and dentistry. The script contained some lovely polysyllabic words that I really had to work hard to get my tongue around – things like “autonomic neuropathy”,”hyperglycemic coma”, “hepatic gluconeogenesis” and my personal favourite (probably because it sounds like a Dick Van Dyke line from Mary Poppins) “metabolic ketoacidosis”.
It goes without saying that some of the sentences in the script took more than a single take to nail!  Several more in fact…

The Legal and General phone prompts are being produced by Brand Audio

The Z-Safety Service narration was produced for Epic Frame

The Zenosis elearning modules are being produced by Leo Pink

The Dentistry training modules are produced by Healthcare Learning – Smile-On
