Voiceover refreshes the parts…

Heineken_logoI’ve recently finished recording a series of voice over narrations on training videos for sales staff working for Heineken UK.

It seems it’s part of a company strategy that sees Heineken representatives acting a trusted advisors to pub landlords on the best drinks categories and brands to stock in order to make their bars more successful. Each video looked at a different category of bar or pub and the kinds of people who drank there and what categories  of drinks they generally choose. The range encompassed young person venues, pubs that concentrate on great food through to the slightly intriguingly named “community wet pubs” (basically pubs and clubs that just do drinks).

It was an interesting voice over job in as much as I like beer and over the years, as you might expect, I’ve been in quite a few pubs – so I found it interesting to work out into which category some of my favourites fitted.

However recording the voiceover also served to remind me that, ever since I became a parent, there never seems to be any money or time left over each week for a trip to a pub regardless of whether its a “great food” one or a “wet” one. That’s something that doesn’t seem to get mentioned in ante-natal classes.

The videos were produced by OxfordSM
