New Voice-over narrations

I’m back from my summer break and back in the booth to record some voice over narrations. One is for a new corporate client – but for reasons of confidentiality I am not able to talk about it. The other is for a video promoting the work of the Dutch Government in South Sudan.

This video is being produced by Nynke La Porte at Izzyworks in Amsterdam.

It describes the Dutch Government supported reconstruction work underway in South Sudan since a peace agreement last year brought a civil war there to an end.

Two thirds of the population are aged under 30 and many have spent much of their young lives involved in war and combat.

Now the former child soldiers are becoming farmers or being trained with vocational skills so that they can work and provide for themselves.

The video is still in post at the moment and I have already re-recorded some of the narration after the end client changed the script.

It’s an interesting job revealing a situation of which I was previously unaware.

Encouragingly  – for a former war zone – it seems that there is a possibility of  a positive outcome for the people involved in the situation.

The video is being produced by Izzyworks
