An ISDN session for a radio ad
I’ve just provided a voiceover using my studio’s ISDN for a company based in the UAE. I was the “announcer” for a radio ad for Nawras. The ad was being produced by BKP in Dubai.
I’ve worked with this studio loads of times and the only thing that sometimes causes a problem for me is the fact that there’s a 5 hour time difference between the UK and the UAE. So lunch time there is early morning here.
Couple that time difference with clients who want to attend the session at the Dubai studio – but who don’t have much space in their diary and you end up with a situation where the voice artist (me!) is in his booth waiting for the ISDN to dial up… while desperately trying to warm his voice up to be an over-excited announcer…. at half past seven in the morning.
Not exactly real “hardship” in the big scheme of things I suppose but still quite tough!
